Gathered in Molo, Kenya, from July 28 to August 2, 2014 for their annual General Assembly, the Brothers of the Provincial Vicariate of Eastern Africa elected Fr. Maurice Schepers, O.P., as their new Vicar Provincial for the next four years mandate.
Friar Maurice Schepers, OP was born in 1928. He made his first profession in the Order in 1950 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1956. He has been on mission in Kenya for many years. He is a lecturer at the Institute of Social Communication, Tangaza College and the Director of the Lonergan Research Institute.
They also elected four councillors for Vicariate Council. The elections took place on Wednesday July 30, 2014. They were approved by Friar Ken LETOILE, O.P., Prior Provincial of St Joseph Province, New York, USA, the mother Province of the Vicariate of Eastern Africa.
Vicariate Council: The following friars will serve the Vicariate of Eastern Africa as councillors for the next four years term:

Fr. Judethadeus Mmassy, O.P.
Fr. Martin Ndegwa, O.P.
Fr. Gideon Muchira, O.P.
