God certainly appears to be at “the end of his rope”, so to speak. He looks at all the evil in the world, and it seems the human project has not been successful. We too can find times where we get fed up even when the project seemed like such a good idea. Think of those moments when parents get frustrated with the actions of their children. Think of those moments when teachers get fed up with the actions of their students. But God is always loving. He loves us so much. Enough to send his Son to save us. And that is good news indeed.
Homily given at Christian Brothers College High School, Town and Country, Missouri, on March 14, 2019.
