It has taken me a while to really appreciate what is written in the Letter to the Hebrews. It is a book that requires deep thought to appreciate it. It does not include narrative like the letters of Saint Paul, or stories like the gospels. Rather, it is something that tells us about who Jesus is, especially in relationship to the Old Testament and statements about the Law. As we begin this year of Ordinary Time, seek to remember the amazing mystery of the God-man Jesus Christ.
